Accordingly, we use the Facebook Pixel to show the Facebook Ads we booked to those Facebook users that also showed interest in our online offer or exhibit certain traits (e.g. interests in certain topics or products that are identified based on the websites visited) that we transmit to Facebook (so-called “Custom Audiences”). By using the Facebook Pixel, we also want to ensure that our Facebook ads match the potential interest of the user and do not appear pestering. Through the Facebook Pixel we can also monitor the impact of the Facebook adverts for statistical and market research purposes as we can see whether users are sent to our website after clicking on a Facebook ad (so-called “conversion”).
The data processing by Facebook is handled in accordance with Facebook’s data handling policy. You can find general information on the display of Facebook Ads in Facebook’s data handling policy: https://www.facebook.com/policy.php. Specific information and details on the Facebook Pixel and how it works can be found in Facebook’s help area: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/651294705016616.

To adjust your settings for which kinds of ads you can be shown within Facebook you can visit the site set up by Facebook and follow the instructions on settings for use-based advertising there: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads.
